"Ventus, you're a respectable artist, why is it that you can't seem to find a girl?"

If only they know...

"Happy birthday, Ven! Whoa, you're now a talented musician of 24 and yet to find a girlfriend, eh brother?"

If only...

"Ven... Roxas and I are getting married. Won't you be our musician and best man in the wedding?"

If only... she knows.

Ven stared at the couple in white. They looked dashing and his brother's face shone as he guided his newly-wedded bride towards the car. He was happy for his brother, he truly was but he couldn't help a twinge of jealousy clouding his brain. Ven wasn't a vengeful boy and has a kid, he learned to put everyone's needs first before his.

Which was why this happened.

Naminé fell in love with Ven in his senior year. She was a year younger than him and far wiser. He was, and always has been, a talented boy with fingers that could make magic with any instrument he touched. It was an ability passed on from his mother while Roxas received the athletic build of his father. The same old story unfolds and one day, Ven found himself alone with a brother to look after.

He was 6 when he lost both his parents, holding Roxas' hand as tightly as he could.

Ventus had to decline Naminé's wish to date because he knew Roxas would be broken hearted. He knew that his baby brother won't really be as happy as he is in their marriage and wil continuously try to win Naminé back, with much respect. There wasn't much of a competition since Ven gave Naminé to Roxas even before the fight.

He just wished... Oh here we go again, Ven wished that Naminé wouldn't choose any of them. Ven wished she would just run off and marry someone else; Riku for example. Of course, that wouldn't be right because Riku is head over heels with Xion since she was the one who helped him get hold of himself after losing Kairi to Sora. It was a messy fight and a story not worth telling here.

"Ven, you should really get a girlfriend!" Naminé smiled during their engagement party and Ven replied with a smile.

So what really happened in the wedding?

While Naminé walked down the aisle, he, along with a short haired girl with fierce eyes, did a number on the piano. The song was lovely and since it was a duet, Ven had to work extra hard not to entangle their fingers together. Naminé had mentioned that he'll be playing with a young lady about her age but she was rather distant and cold and that Ven shouldn't take it to heart.

The girl that played with him was awfully quiet and would only answer in one short syllables. Ven sighed and shrugged. Naminé's left him and if he was able, maybe this girl could be a change of scenery.

The car sped past him and he watched rather bitterly.

A nudge came from his side and he saw the girl he played the piano with.

"Fuujin." She commented. "My name is Fuujin."

Ven was flabbergasted. "Uhh, Ventus. My name, that is, it's Ventus but you can call me Ven."

"It's nice to meet you, Ven, you played wonderful."

"So do you."

Fuu smiled at him and he hoped that this could be the medicine to heal his broken heart.
